Herekeke Arts Center

The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico, established in 1954, is one of the oldest artist residence programs in the country. The Foundation’s mission is to “Support the artist and the creative process” and serves as a haven for visual artists, literary artists and music composers. We are located on fifteen acres in the heart of Taos, New Mexico, a four-hundred-year-old multicultural community renowned for its popularity with artists.

OCHO Arts + Event space in Questa, New Mexico, has been hosting artists in residence since 2013. Our international and U.S. artists have worked in fields from process painting to printmaking to architecture and ecologically and socially engaged art. We look forward to also hosting sound artists, filmmakers, writers, and more!

Founded in 2016, parse SECO is an experimental creative space and art residency located in the heart of Arroyo Seco, NM. Parse SECO provides a unique platform for underrepresented artists, musicians, and creators to present immersive experiences for the community in an intimate setting. While striving to provide an inclusive sanctuary for expression, learning, and therapy through art, parse SECO strives to disrupt unjust entitlement of public art space, set trends, question thoughts and viewpoints, and nourish the artistic youth by emphasizing the importance of creative expression seemingly neglected by the standard educational model.
