NM Visions by Kathryn A. Hayden

Kathryn describes her style as photo artistry. She builds dramatic and thoughtful scenes by combining her images with layered textured backgrounds to evoke emotional connection and response. Currently she is one of the featured fine art photographers at Amore Gallery. Her studio on Kit Carson is also open to the public. Kathryn’s images have been shown in both juried and non-juried shows including: Taos Art Museum at the Fechin; New Mexico Art League; Harwood Museum; Millicent Rogers Museum; Wilder Nightingale Fine Art; Taos Fall Arts Festival; Taos Studio Tour; Taos Ski Valley Arts Festival; Alumbra de Questa.

Kathryn’s photo artistry is also shown in various locations throughout the northern New Mexico region, and in private collections throughout the US and international locations.

She contributes to the arts in the Taos region as Board member for the Taos Gallery Association, appointed secretary to the Town of Taos Marketing Committee, member of the Taos Artist Association, and provides works to events that raise funds for the community.

In addition, Kathryn does portrait photography, group/family photography and captures the special moments from outdoor family and group adventures in and around the Taos area.

Comment: My studio is located in the heart of the historic Kit Carson cultural area. Visitors are welcome but I recommend calling to ensure I will be there… I could be out capturing more visual stories… The studio is at the back of the Howell Building, immediately behind Bryans Gallery and Wilder Nightingale.
